T.J. consults with domestic and multi-national organizations seeking alternative risk solutions, including providing strategic captive consultation to clients evaluating the utilization of a captive insurance company for the first time as well as those with existing captives looking for program enhancements. T.J. has over 13 years of experience in accounting and financial and risk management, specializing in complex captive design and management. Prior to joining Spring, T.J. was Vice President – Alternative Risk Consulting with NFP, where he was the lead consultant for the Risk and Insurance Strategy Collective (RISC) team. He previously held the position of accounting and client relationship manager with Artex Risk Solutions, Inc., where he managed captive insurance companies while collaborating with and mentoring a team of industry professionals.

T.J. graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.B.A. in Finance and a master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management. T.J. is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in California, and also holds the RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP) and Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) designations. T.J. is an active participant on various committees and associations within the captive industry.
