Ken Cope, PhD, is a Senior Consultant and Absence Provider Services Practice Leader at Spring Consulting Group, an Alera Group Company, LLC. He has spent more than 30 years advising employers and service providers on absence management, disability, and workforce strategy, guiding organizations through complex people, compliance, and operational challenges.
He is distinguished by his ability to connect perspectives across carriers, administrators, solution providers, and employers, helping the industry anticipate where absence management is headed and translate insight into action. Ken brings leadership experience across both consulting and operations. Most notably, he served as President of one of the nation’s largest absence management third-party administrators, where he led a global organization of more than 1,000 professionals supporting Fortune 1000 employers.
Ken holds a PhD in Instructional Management and Leadership from Robert Morris University and serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Baker University, where he teaches graduate-level courses in executive leadership, human resources strategy, and organizational development.
