We are excited to announce that Spring Consulting Group Managing Partner Karin Landry will be presenting at the New Jersey Captive Insurance Association (NJCIA) fall event on October 16, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in Basking Ridge, NJ.
The NJCIA is the trade association for the captive insurance industry in New Jersey. The purpose of their fall event is to inform and educate guests on issues related to captives in New Jersey and on the captive industry as a whole.
Landry’s presentation will cover the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and its impact on captives. She will be speaking to the development of stop-loss captives for employers and how healthcare systems are using their captives to fund the risks associated with Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs).
Other event speakers will cover the set up and application procedure of New Jersey captives, the benefits of licensing captives in New Jersey, and a recent report on New Jersey captives.
Landry has more than 25 years of experience in the health care, insurance, risk financing, retirement, and benefits industries. She is an internationally recognized leader in captive insurance strategy, benefits, and financing. Landry is a member of the Mathew Greenwald Board, Past-Chairman of the Board of The Captive Insurance Company Association (CICA), a member of the ERISA Industry Committee, and was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for Fallon Community Health Plan. She is also a Professor of Employee Benefits and member of the finance committee for International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE).
