Position Overview:

The Account Manager will be responsible for the day to day servicing and satisfaction of existing employee benefits and financial services clients and prospects. This position will be based in Boston, MA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage and drive the client renewal/marketing process including gathering information, preparing and analyzing data, developing RFP and client proposals and working directly with clients
  • Administer the client open enrollment process including vendor management and implementation
  • Handle group and individual sales processes with prospects and up-sell other Spring products and services to existing clients
  • Take phone calls, and address written and email inquiries from existing clients as well as assist in the sale and implementation of prospects
  • Proactively advise clients and provide consistent client service in resolving day to day service issues such as eligibility, coverage, claims issues, billing issues and COBRA assistance, etc.
  • Maintain strong Insurance carrier, service providers and client relationships
  • Assist in cultivating client relationships by understanding client needs and articulating Spring’s services and resources
  • Handle calls, leads and clients with strong data entry and typing skills
  • Utilize the Spring agency management and client portal programs
  • Take part in individual projects and marketing program support activities when necessary
  • Provide weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4-6 years related employee benefits experience
  • Life, Accident and Health License required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Exceptional attention to detail, reliability and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong Presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service focused skills
  • Experience with insurance agency management systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to travel regionally when needed
